Student pitch projects
Solar Oven activity
In this upcoming project, we’ll collaborate with the Eco-Warriors to explore energy conservation. During the session, we’ll discuss what energy conservation is, why it’s important, and practical ways to conserve energy in our daily lives.
As a fun and interactive activity, we’ll build a solar oven using cardboard boxes, aluminum foil, and an infrared light. The aluminum foil will act as a reflective surface, directing heat from the light onto marshmallows to melt them. This hands-on activity will be both educational and exciting, showcasing the potential of renewable energy in a creative way.
T-Shirt tote bag activity
This collaboration with the Eco Warriors is an exciting initiative to introduce the concept of Fast Fashion to both Eco Warriors and Middle School students. The session will focus on raising awareness about how fast fashion encourages us to buy more clothes than we actually need, contributing to environmental harm, including excessive water consumption.
For a fun, hands-on activity, students will create T-shirt tote bags—a simple, no-sew project that’s both safe and eco-friendly. This activity will help reinforce the importance of reusing and upcycling in a creative way!
Eco-Mural
This collaborative project brings together the Eco-Warriors, the Middle School Eco-Council, and the High School Sustainability Council to create a meaningful mural inspired by one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This year, we are focusing on Life on Land, highlighting the importance of protecting our ecosystems. Through this hands-on, creative activity, we aim to celebrate Philippine culture while raising awareness about environmental conservation.
